Abundance-Some thoughts About The Flow Of Money

Money

Money

This post is about something I was thinking of as I was driving to the stores today to Christmas shop.  Like a lot of us, I do some of my best thinking in the car.  I guess when you read this,  you will be the judge of whether this might have been an example of best thinking, or just my monkey mind rambling on.

I was having a conversation in my mind about currency, and the law of attraction. You know, the green stuff.  I was thinking about something I have read a lot by several law of attraction guru’s that goes like this.

The concept  that money is to be used, and not saved when you are following manifesting or attracting principles is what was on my mind.  That in using your money when you receive it,  more will flow to you. It is a way of saying to the universe that you trust the money to keep coming.  You will allow it to be used,  and passed on by you.  You acknowledge that the money does not belong to you,  yet you have been given it to use by the universe.

This goes against all the common wisdom in our culture to save and prepare for the future. To put aside as much as you can for retirement, and  to accumulate it as wealth is what most people would like to do with money.

Sometimes when I think of money, my mind glazes over.  Today I was thinking about it in an abstract way.   I am sure if an math wizard read what I am about to say and took it  literally, he or she might  think I am off my rocker.  Yet, I think I am really on to something about money flowing, and the  whys of  not  hanging  on to it.

I was thinking of how money is a combination of the amount, and the speed of the flow.  If you have a certain amount of money- lets say $1000.00,  and you save it you actually have less in a sense than when that money is flowing fast from one person to another.

For example, lets say that we have 10 people and  $1000.00 between them.  Person 1 is given the whole $1000.00.  He  decides to stick it under his mattress because he is worried he might lose his job, and not have any money to get what he needs.  Where does this leave persons 2 through 10. With nothing.

In the second situation, lets say person 1 gets the entire $1000.00 as as in the first example.  This time though  he goes right out that very day and starts spending it.  He gets  something person 2 made for $200.00,  gives $300.00 to person 3 for a debt he owes,  and he then distributes the rest among most of the other people for services and goods. .  He spends all the rest within  a few days.  Perhaps he even just gives some of it away to one or more of the 10 people who needed something.

Then the other people do the same. They pass it right on.  They don’t hold on to it, and they keep it going around. It seems to me, the faster the money circulates the more there is for everyone.  As long as no one gets greedy, or fearful, it continues to work.

So the amount of money available is the actual amount of money times the speed of flow. If the money circulated 10 times around in a week it would be 10,000.00 that was spent or payed out.  If it stayed with person 1 it would remain just the original $1000.00 and no more. If it was circulated 20 times in that week, it would be $20,000.00 spent.

In example one- what did the 10 people have- nothing. One person had the money and what was he getting for it.   He  really had no security. He will continue to worry that someone will find the money, he will be robbed, become ill.  What does the saving really get him except worry. Nothing.  He  really he had nothing, just like the others.

In example two-what did the 10 people have. They had food, goods, services, and it would continue on as long as the money kept circulating around. And the faster it flowed, the more they could have and buy with it.

I am not suggesting that we don’t save any money.  Most people would want to save a little of all they have.   Yet, by spending and using the majority of it as it flows to us, we are helping lots of other people.  We are not worrying about where tomorrows money will come from. We are just trusting it will come. And in the process of helping, we get material things, food, our cars repaired, and good feelings if we are gifting it.

The more we fear and hoard, the less there is for everyone. The more we trust and flow with it, the more there is for everyone.

Think about it. No more guilt about spending money.  You are helping lots of people have more by passing it on to them.

What are your thoughts about this?
